Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join our UKI Consulting team. You will work with local and international clients to deliver SAP Payroll and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementations, enhancements, and support services.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll configuration, including payroll schemas, rules, wage types, payroll processing, testing, and cutover activities. Experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) is essential, while knowledge of Employee Central integration and payroll replication processes is highly desirable.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients across the UK, Ireland, and globally to optimise payroll processes through effective solution design, system configuration, and expert consultancy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and analyse customer requirements relating to payroll processes and solutions.
  • Configure SAP HCM Payroll and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions.
  • Support Solution Architects in recommending and designing integrated solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to project team members.
  • Lead and participate in workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Support both senior and junior resources with project challenges and deliverables.
  • Provide input into payroll cutover strategies and data migration approaches.
  • Support interface workstreams to ensure integration between payroll and related applications.
  • Prepare project documentation, including configuration workbooks and test scripts.
  • Support the quality review of project documentation and handover to clients and the Zalaris support team.

Your Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP HCM Payroll consulting experience, including experience operating at Senior Consultant level.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting SAP HCM Payroll and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions.
  • Strong configuration expertise in payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and payroll processes.
  • Experience supporting payroll cutover activities and data migration approaches.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
  • Experience working on multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Experience leading workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Experience working with integrated payroll solutions and interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify solution gaps and issues and communicate them effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
