About the Role
At Zalaris, we enable businesses to manage HR and payroll operations efficiently across multiple countries.
We’re looking for a proactive and analytical Controller to strengthen financial governance and support decision-making across one of our regions. In this key role, you will provide financial insights, ensure accurate reporting, and act as a trusted advisor to managers and operational teams. You will be instrumental in driving financial control, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong financial expertise with a structured and collaborative mindset. The position will be responsible for the follow up of Baltics and Czech Republic and report to Finance Manager for region Northern Europe who sits is in Oslo, Norway.
Your Responsibilities
- Support Country Managers, Operations, Service Delivery Managers, and Project Managers with financial performance follow-up and proactive analysis
- Ensure accurate financial control of profit and loss statements and alignment with business targets
- Manage month-end closing activities, including revenue and cost recognition, within deadlines and quality standards
- Validate financial data in SAP and Power BI to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Prepare and deliver monthly business review reports, analysing revenue, margins, and cost centre performance
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate and support budget and forecast processes, ensuring quality and compliance with group instructions
- Provide structured financial analyses and reports for ad hoc requests from management and operational teams
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and maintain high standards of quality and timeliness
Your Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, business analysis, or similar roles
- Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
- Proactive, analytical, and structured mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English (additional Nordic language is a plus)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification
