Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester and Ethical Hacker to join our cybersecurity team. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and securing web and mobile applications against potential threats. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of our applications by proactively simulating cyberattacks and providing effective solutions to mitigate risks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on web and mobile applications.
  • Simulate real-world attacks to evaluate security measures and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze systems, networks, APIs, and databases for security loopholes and risks.
  • Develop and implement security recommendations and patches to mitigate threats.
  • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure security best practices during the application development lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings, including vulnerabilities identified and remediation strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
  • Educate and train internal teams on application security and threat prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, ISO 27001).

 

Required Skills

  • Deep understanding of web and mobile application architecture and security principles.
  • Proficiency in penetration testing tools and frameworks such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and OWASP ZAP.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of encryption, authentication protocols, and network security.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Acunetix, or Qualys.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security gaps.
  • Ability to create comprehensive security reports and communicate findings effectively.
  • Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are highly desirable.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
