The HR Pre-Sales role is responsible for supporting the sales cycle by providing subject matter expertise in HR processes, solutions, and technologies. The role bridges the gap between client business needs and solution capabilities, ensuring that proposed HR solutions align with customer requirements and demonstrate clear business value. This includes engaging with prospects, conducting requirement analysis, preparing and delivering tailored demonstrations, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and collaborating with sales and product teams to drive successful deal closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to understand client requirements and design tailored HR & payroll solutions
- Lead and deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations for prospective client
- Develop responses to RFPs/RFIs, proposals, and solution documentation
- Provide domain expertise in HR and payroll processes (statutory compliance, multi-country payroll, time & attendance, employee lifecycle management, etc
- Participate in client discovery workshops and requirement gathering sessions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Product, Delivery, Technology) to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with customer needs
- Support go-to-market initiatives and create presales assets including presentations, case studies, and ROI models
- Stay updated on industry trends, statutory regulations, and emerging HR tech innovations
- Be commercially responsible, including managing and developing the existing customer portfolio for Zalaris’ Swedish customers
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Drive and measure customer satisfaction
- Contribute to quotation work to existing and new customers
- Work strategically with the customer at different levels Budget responsibility and reaching goals for revenue growth according to Zalaris growth ambition.
- Secure and follow-up delivery services from sales to operation (customer life-cycle)
Required skills and Competencies
- 10 to 15 years of experience in HR & Payroll domain, with at least 4-5 years in a presales or solution consulting role
- Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll compliance (India/APAC/EMEA), and technology platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, etc.)
- Experience working with cloud-based HR/payroll solutions and implementation cycles
- Proven track record in customer engagement, solutioning, and proposal management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM in HR or related field is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working in HR outsourcing or managed payroll services companies
- Exposure to multi-country payroll, especially across APAC/EMEA regions
- Ability to build solution frameworks and cost models for large transformation deals
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
