Janis Lesnicenoks
My name is Janis Lesnicenoks, and I joined Zalaris as an IT Specialist in 2013. This was the career path that I decided I would like to pursue. As an IT Developer my primary task is, of course, programming. Within #teamZalaris we all try to find ways of how to satisfy our customers’ needs, by taking part in projects to truly understand what it is our customers want, and then work towards this goal. Naturally, you can’t forget about self-education and I believe this is such an important part of my career. My job is sometimes like a puzzle and I’m the one who figures out how to solve this technical puzzle to achieve our customer’s demands. I translate the customer’s business needs into a technological language and produce their desired products.
Throughout my career at Zalaris I have been able to grow. When I started, I was an IT specialist in the TECH IT Team (current IT Operations team). A couple of years later I moved to the IT Development department as a Developer, and just recently I moved to the IT DevOps department as IT Change Manager.
If you want to pursue a career in IT Development, you must learn to be proactive and focus on improving your communication skills! I like that with #teamZalaris, there is always room for professional growth.
