Position Summary

Zalaris Business Processes & Products  process  team is strengthening its organization in Latvia, and we are currently looking for a team manager to join our global team of Product Owners in Rīga, Latvia.  
This position is planned to work 50% with managerial tasks leading the team of 5-6 Product Owners and 50% on the Product Owners tasks within the team’s current responsibilities. This position will report to VP Business Processes & Products located in Oslo, Norway. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Create the team’s roadmap based on the annual Zalaris’ strategy; monitor and follow up on the agreed quarterly deliveries. 
  • Create and maintain individual goal plans (aligned with the team’s roadmap and Zalaris annual strategy) in Zalaris People Portal. 
  • Conduct team’s performance & compensation reviews according to the defined HR process in Zalaris People Portal. 
  • Monitor the team’s workload and assign the right person for the right job. 
  • Define the team’s internal working routines and processes; initiate and lead improvements within the team. 
  • Ensure the quality of the team’s deliveries. 
  • Initiate and complete recruitment & onboarding process for new employees. 
  • Manage off-boarding and employee exits. 
  • Define the team’s role within the organization; maintain and align the team’s job description. 
  • Take care about the team’s development and ensure competence sharing. 
  • Take care of the team spirit by organizing team building events and other social activities.
  • Support the team in participating and completing actual deliveries within the team’s responsibility. 


  • Leadership skills. 
  • 2-3 years experience in team lead position.
  • Time management and prioritization skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. 
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills, minimum requirement C1 proficient user.
  • Good research skills. 
  • Ability to logically process and grasp the information employing both top-down as well as bottom-up approaches. 
  • Ability to present and explain complex concepts. 
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Basic project management and coordination skills. 
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, prioritisation and time management skills. 
  • Experience with digital information presentation tools (e.g., Camtasia) will be seen as an advantage.
  • Experience with process automation will be seen as  an advantage. 
  • Experience with other/several process management methodologies and Lean will be seen as an advantage. 

Education & experience

  • University degree.  
  • Previous experience in leadership/change management/mentorship will be seen as an advantage.
