Position Summary

Zalaris is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a new trainee to be a payroll administrator in our payroll team in our office in Höje Taastrup, Copenhagen. As a trainee we will teach you the skills needed to become a Payroll Administrator at Zalaris, where you will be serving our customers each month together with your team. The 2-year period is without school training and is solely an internal process where you also will have brief training within our Reimbursement- and Accounting teams.

Your Responsibilities

As a trainee you will perform regular standard tasks and solve problems based on detailed procedures. Our client solutions are based on SAP and your responsibilities will be completion of straightforward or high-volume transactions within the following tasks normally performed in a payroll team:


  • Maintenance of employee data (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension control)
  • Absence /attendance registration and handling
  • Registration of payroll data input (e.g., deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries) Preparation and delivery of reports
  • Responsible for pay roll run on specific client(s)
  • Handling service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone
  • Testing changes to the client solution in SAP
  • Maintaining physical and / or electronical archive
  • Performing any additional tasks, linked to the primary scope of the position incl. communication with colleagues in Latvia and India.
Skills and personal qualifications
  • Education in relevant field, like office administration or economics
  • Working experience with HR/payroll would be great but not a requirement.
  • Required to have good communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Danish/Scandinavian language
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to plan work and make priorities
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a positive working atmosphere
  • Customer focused with ability to deliver high quality services
  • Flexible in relation to tasks and work extent
  • Good cooperation skills and team player, ability to handle stressful periods
